About the Job
Center Point is seeking a compassionate and experienced leader to serve as CBT Facilitator for our new Contra Costa County Day Reporting Center (DRC) in San Pablo, CA. This innovative program is anticipated to launch around July 1, 2026, under contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), Division of Rehabilitative Programs (DRP), and will provide services to adults on parole.

We are beginning the recruitment process now in anticipation of hiring for this position on or after July 1, 2026.

About the Position:
The CBT Facilitator is responsible for providing evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) programming and life skills interventions to participants within a CDCR Day Reporting Center serving the Adult Parole population. Services are delivered through group facilitation, individual meetings, workshops, and rehabilitative interventions designed to support successful community reintegration and reduce recidivism.

Under the direction of the Casework Supervisor, the CBT Facilitator works closely with participants to support behavioral change, increase prosocial skills, address criminogenic needs, and assist participants in developing and implementing individualized Case Management Plans (CMPs).

As this is a new program launch, CBT Facilitators will play an important role in helping establish a positive and engaging program culture while supporting the successful implementation of evidence-based rehabilitative programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate evidence-based CBT groups, life skills workshops, and educational programming for adults on parole.
  • Conduct group and individual meetings utilizing motivational interviewing and client-centered engagement techniques.
  • Evaluate participant progress and document participation, behavior, and service outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with participants to develop and implement individualized Case Management Plans (CMPs).
  • Maintain fidelity to CBT curriculum and evidence-based programming models.
  • Conduct screening, assessment, and participant orientation activities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate participant documentation, including progress notes, case files, and service tracking forms.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and participant reviews.
  • Support participant accountability and reinforce program expectations, rules, and prosocial behavior.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting activities, and documentation compliance.
  • Collaborate with Casework staff, CDCR staff, parole agents, and community providers.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development, training, and quality improvement activities.
  • Supervise participant activities and assist with community service and volunteer activities as assigned.
  • Collect urine samples for anti-drug testing as required by program operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (1) year of experience providing CBT services to justice-involved populations; OR,
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience providing CBT services to justice-involved populations.
  • Experience working with justice-involved individuals, specifically Adult Parole populations, strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and evidence-based rehabilitative interventions.
  • Strong group facilitation, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage diverse participant populations in individual and group settings.
  • Experience with case management, treatment planning, and participant documentation preferred.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards of conduct.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOJ Live Scan background clearance.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license with no serious infractions within the past four (4) years.
  • Must be insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
  • Must have access to reliable personal transportation for work-related duties.
  • Must possess current TB clearance and CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain upon hire.
