Center Point is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals with a desire to lead to join our residential treatment team in Fair Oaks, CA.
As a Certified SUD/AOD Supervising Counselor, you shall be AOD certified at a level that allows you to provide clinical verification of internship hours for AOD Counseling staff. You must have a working knowledge of SUDT programs.
Duties:
- The Supervising Counselor conducts client evaluations, intakes, and ASAM-based assessments to determine program suitability, assign caseloads, and ensure alignment with Drug Medi-Cal requirements. Familiar with ASAM Levels of Care 3.1, 3.2, 3.5 (minimum).
- They review charts, treatment plans, menus, and overall facility operations in SmartCare EHR to verify compliance with licensing, health, Medi-Cal, and other regulatory standards.
- The role provides therapeutic services, including individual sessions, group co-facilitation, client orientation, and culturally responsive engagement with clients and staff.
- The Supervising Counselor monitors program objectives, maintains census data, and prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports, requiring strong administrative and analytical skills.
- They oversee inventory control, facility maintenance needs, and the safe and secure operation of the program while ensuring adherence to certification and licensing expectations.
- Responsibilities also include coordinating staff training, documenting and following up on meeting action items, and offering daily direction and support to program staff.
- The Supervising Counselor reviews and approves client requests, develops recreational and therapeutic activities, maintains communication with referring agencies, and transports clients as needed using agency vehicles.
- They perform additional Counselor I/II duties as qualified, make recommendations for rulebook revisions, and complete other duties as assigned.
- Transports clients as needed using Center Point vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
AOD / SUD Supervising Counselor must have a working knowledge of DMC residential treatment programs and meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a social science or social service–related field is required. A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
- A valid AOD certification is required; licensed professionals are preferred.
- Candidates may substitute relevant years of experience for the educational requirement.
- Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Pay Frequency: Twice monthly.

Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
