Center Point Inc. is seeking an experienced billing analyst for the agency. The agency was incorporated in 1971 and today offers a range of health and social services to individuals and families across the State of California.
Center Point's mission is to provide comprehensive social, educational, vocational, medical, psychological, housing and rehabilitation services to combat social problems such as substance abuse, poverty, unemployment, and homelessness.
Under the direction of the Controller and CFO, this position is responsible for preparing invoice tasks including preparing bank deposit slips for the agency and assisting with reconciling accounts receivable and analyzing accounts and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly billings to funding sources. The billing analyst also prepares reports and analyses on a variety of transactions as required by the agency.
This Position is located in San Rafael, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare billing invoices for various agencies and maintain record of past dues invoices.
- Reconcile receivable accounts and prepare aging report.
- Compiles reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, and other items pertinent to the operation of agency business.
- Maintain financial records and files.
- Generate electronic spreadsheet reports as requested.
- Maintains cash receipts and prepares cash receipt journal.
- Performs account receivable job as directed.
- Assists agency staff and operations as requested.
- Interact with grantors and diverse staff in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
- High level of computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and Accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly effective organization and follow-up habits.
Minimum Qualifications:
A four-year degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience working for a non-profit agency is required. Knowledge of accounting software and electronic spreadsheets required.
